Shirley was born April 21 1930 in Sedalia, Mo., the daughter of Arnold & Marie Raeber.
Shirley sang professionally with Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey and Charlie Rich. She also recorded at Sun Studios in Memphis, Tennessee.
Shirley was the former owner of the Monte Ne Inn at Monte Ne, Arkansas. She also served as the charter president from 1981 to 1982 of the American Business Women's Association, and served again as president from 1987 to 1988. Shirley was a member of Altrusa, and was the president-elct of St. Mary's Hospital Auxiliary and a member of the St. Mary's Hospital. Foundation Board of Directors.She served as Northwest District Chairman of the Arkansas Hospital Auxiliary Association and twice was a candidate for the Arkansas General Assembly. Shirley also was a past chariwoman for the Benton County Democrats Central Committee, and voted Rogers Chamber of Commerce 1999 Volunteer of the Year. She was an associate of Dominican Sisters, Springfield, Illinois, and served on the Rogers Chamber Board of Directors in 1988. A member of the Red Hat Society and an active member of the Rogers High School Scholarship Program, Shirley passed away March 13, 2008 at St. Mary's Hospital, Rogers, Arkansas.
