HOXIE — Mary Maxine Lyles Light, 79, died Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2009, at Lawrence Memorial Hospital.

She was born Aug. 25, 1930, to Walter and Sallie Walker Lyles in Greene County. She had lived in Hoxie for most of her life and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter and Sallie Walker Lyles; brothers, Foy “Flop” and J.L. Lyles; sisters, Iola and Viola Lyles; two half brothers, Earnest and Paul Lyles; and two half sisters, Hazel Rose and Lela Haynes.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan Cook of Corning and Jacqie Rorex of Greenwood, Ind.; son, Walter L. Kersey of Knobel; two sisters, Sallie Huskey and Donnie Nevels, both of Hoxie; brothers, Dean Lyles of Walcott, Bill Lyles of Winnebago, Ill., Jim Lyles of Rockford, Ill., and Harvey Lyles of Paragould.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday in House-Gregg Funeral Home at Walnut Ridge with Don House officiating. Burial will follow in Old Military Cemetery at Sedgwick.

Pallbearers will be Casey Rorex, Logan Powell, Joe and Jason Huskey, Dale and Richard Lyles.

Visitation will be from 10 a.m. to service time.
