ROGERS — Barbara Ann Gasperetti, 71, of Rogers, beloved mother and grandmother, died peacefully at home Thursday, Jan. 13, 2011, surrounded by devoted family and friends.

Born Aug. 16, 1939, in New Orleans, La., she was a graduate of Hahnville High School and lived 17 years of her life abroad before settling in Rogers to retire with her beloved late husband Arthur Gasperetti.

Bartara was an avid tennis player, a fabulous cook, a talented seamstress, a fantastic dancer and a loyal friend and confidant to many. She loved nature, especially the ocean and sitting around a cozy campfire with family and longtime companion and close friend David Badgley.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Lucille and Roy Knobloch and one sister, Lorelei Hull.

She is survived by her three daughters, Kimberly Dawn Pelle, Jody Ann Ybarra, and Micah Maria Harter; seven grandchildren, Summer, Jason, Joe, Kristen, Jessica, Jesse, and Derrick; and four great-grandchildren, Jeremy, John, Riley, and Maverick.

Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m, today, Jan. 17, 2011, at Rollins Funeral Home in Rogers and the funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 18 at the funeral Home. Memorial contributions can be made in Barbara's name to Circle of Life Hospice House in Springdale.
