1899 - February 14, 1921
Fordyce, Feb. 14- Miss Hattie Lee Porter, aged 21, graduate of the Fordyce High School, class od 1918 and member of the girl's basket ball team, died here at 12:15 Monday morning. She was well known in this and adjoining counties. She is survived by her mother, Mrs. Hattie Porter, three brothers, Captain Ray E. Porter of Camp Meade, Md., and William and George Porter, both of Fordyce, and two sisters, Miss Lena Porter and Mrs. R. M. Gordan. The body is being held awaiting the arrival of Captain Porter from Maryland. Funeral services will be held not later than Wednesday. (Arkansas Democrat - February 14, 1921)
