Wade Hampton Kirkland, 82, Rt. 1, Prairie Grove, died July 27 at his home. Born March 18, 1893, at Bryson City, N.C., he was the son of John D. and Polly Watkins Kirkland and a retired farmer.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Elsie King Kirkland of the home; one son, James Wade Kirkland of the home; three sisters, Mrs. Eliza Freeman, Titan, Wash., Mrs. Margaret Dotson, Yelm, Wash., and Mrs. Minerva Van Horn, Prairie Grove.
Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. in Moore's Chapel, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Julius Copeland officiating. Burial will be in Thorpe Cemetery under the direction of Moore's.
