Cornelia C. Cabral, age 87, of Russellville, died Monday, April 20, 2009 at her home. A daughter of the late Alonzo and Etta Gibbs Standridge, she was born August 9, 1921 in Newton County. She attended Oakland Heights Assembly of God, and was the widow of Manuel Cabral. She was also preceded in death by in infant daughter, Catherine Carol Cabral, and a brother, Clifford Standridge.
Survivors include two brothers and sisters-in-law: Eulis and Mary Standridge of Dover; and Mason and Emma Standridge of Russellville; six half-brothers and sisters: Irene Ford of Dover; Melinda Brown of Russellville; Dudley Standridge of Pelsor; Maxine Baumgardner and Kathleen Campbell, both of Danville; and Susie Tennison of Pelsor; and a host of nephews and nieces.
Service and burial in the Perry Cemetery were private. Arrangements are by Shinn Funeral Service.
