Earl Price Matthews, age 83 of Casa, died Sunday, December 30, 2007 at the Arkansas Heart Hospital in Little Rock. Born May 22, 1924 in Owensboro, KY, he was the son of the late Stanley D. and Ida Minta Chancellor Matthews. He was a retired laborer and a member of the Casa First Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary Levo Matthews and two granddaughters, Karen Jane Aubrey and Rhonda Michelle Goff.
Survivors include a son, Earl Wayne Matthews, Sr. of Casa; two daughters, Betty Winters of Dardanelle and Mary Jane Goff of Casa; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were graveside on Saturday, January 5, 2008, at Fitch Cemetery with Rev. Denver Robinson officiating. Pallbearers were Sam Aubrey, Rick Godwin, Larry Fitzgerald, Kevin Winters, Jerry Wayne Allen, Jim Stewart, Earl Wayne Matthews, Jr. Scotty Allen, and. Jerry Aaron.
