SHERIDAN — Jacob Timothy Davis, 66, of Sheridan, died Saturday at St Vincent Hospital at Little Rock. He was born May 19, 1939, at Malvern, a son of the late Jacob Thomas Sadler and Lorene Massey Sadler Davis.
He graduated from Grapevine High School in 1958. He served in the Navy aboard the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga CVA60.
He worked as a line mechanic at Maybelline USA at North Little Rock.
He was a retired fireman with the Sheridan Volunteer Fire Department.
He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church at Prattsville.
He was also preceded in death by his step-father, Woodrow Davis; a grandmother, Laura Winkle Elliott; and a grandfather, Bert Massey.
Survivors include his wife Sue Croy Davis, whom he married in 1958
(Married 1 Feb 1959); a son, Michael Scott Davis of North Little Rock; and a daughter, Kardenia Lee Krist of Moab, Utah. Funeral services will be at 10 am Tuesday at Harmony Baptist Church at Prattsville with Michael Scott Davis, Shawn Hill and Neal Pumphrey officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Sheridan by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
