AARON, A.H. - A.H. Aaron was born March 1, 1859 in Washington county, Ark. and died March 7, 1918 at the home of a son east of Rogers. He was married to Miss Lizzie Churchman of Logan county, Ark. Dec. 9, 1882 and to this union were born nine children, six surviving him; three sons: Oscar, with whom he lived; Alonzo of Kansas and Jim in the U.S. service in the Philippine Islands; three daughters: Mrs. Lester Conley and Mrs. Claud Conley of Rogers and Mrs. David Boyle of Clearwater, Kan. Mr. Aaron was converted and united with the Methodist church, South at Pace's Chapel about six years ago and has ever since lived a consecrated Christian life. Altho he has been in poor health for some time and many times unable to attend church, he was ready and willing to do more than his part in the support of the church. He has lived for many years in this vicinity and was always admired for his honesty and firmness. Through his death the family has lost a loving father, the church a loyal member, the poor and needy a friend and the community a good citizen. He was a constant sufferer for the last several months of his life but loving hands administered to every want. His four surviving brothers of Springdale were with him in his last hours. The funeral services were conducted March 8, 1918 at Pace's Chapel by Rev. G.G. Yeoman of Rogers and the body was laid to rest beside his wife, who preceded him six years ago.
