SHERIDAN -- Meliana Carol Drake Gibbs-Talbert, 34, of Sheridan, died Saturday at Baptist Medical Center at Little Rock. She was born Dec 10, 1969, at Pine Bluff, a daughter of Linda Sue Holloway Drake Brewer of Pine Bluff and the late Jesse Vaughn Drake. She was a 1988 graduate of Sheridan High School. She was co-owner of Shannon Talbert Logging.
She was a member of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Mike Gibbs; and her grandparents, Wayne Holloway, Lee Drake and Lestie Drake. Other survivors include her husband, Shannon Talbert; three daughters, Holly Gibbs, Corbin Talbert and Emery Talbert, all of Sheridan; two sisters, Mindy Drake Hesse of Mesquite, Texas, and Misty Drake Smith of Sheridan; and her stepfather, Ernest Brewer of Pine Bluff. Funeral services will be at 2 pm today at First Landmark Missionary Baptist Church at Sheridan with John Mooney and Danny Hill officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Gardens Cemetery at Sheridan by Memorial Gardens Funeral Home at Sheridan. Memorials may be made to Arkansas Children's Hospital, in care of Log a Load, Bobby Taylor, 175 Grant 167077, Sheridan, AR 72150.
