August 5, 9, 1955
Ralph Nichols, 34, native of Alix, died unexpectedly of a heart attack Monday evening at his home in Los Angeles, Calif.
A veteran of World War 11, during which he served in the European theater with an infantry division, Mr. Nichols had lived in California since 1948. he was born in Alix May 31, 1921, and was a member of the Nazarene church.
Survivors include his father, Frank Nichols of Los Angeles; four brothers, Jack and Paul Nichols of Alix, bill of Los Angeles and Jim of Covina,
Calif.; and four sisters, Mrs. Agnes McDonald, Miss Marie Nichols and Mrs. Louise Pesterfield, all of Los Angeles, and Reba Wall of Coal Hill. Mr. Nichols, who was a member of the 91st Division, was awarded the Bronze
Star.
