Joseph Sherman Douglas, age 85 of Casa, died Wednesday, July 26, 2006 at Chambers Memorial Hospital. He was born February 26, 1921 at Cottontown, AR to the late Joshua and Berley Douglas.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Reba Douglas, and an infant son, Ronnie Joe Douglas.
Survivors include two sons, Donnie Douglas of Casa and Ricky Douglas of Casa; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Saturday, July 29, 2006 at 10:00 a. m. at Fitch Cemetery in Casa with Rev. Denver Robinson and Rev. Dennis LaCook officiating. Reba E. Douglas, age 79, of Casa, AR died Thursday, September 2, 2004 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. She was born September 6, 1924 in Perry County, the daughter of the late Ora and Ethel Ludie Pearson. She was a member of the Hickory Grove Free Will Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Carl Hubbard and a sister, Burna Dean Hubbard.
Survivors include her husband of 56 years, Sherman Douglas; two sons, Donel and Ricky Douglas of Casa, AR; two sisters and a brother-in-law, Ruby Robinson of Dardanelle and Wanda Chester Kiersey of Bradenton, FL; a nephew and a niece.
Graveside service was September 4 at Fitch Cemetery near Casa with Rev. Tru Fitch and Joe Hubbard officiating. Arrangements by Cornwell Funeral Home of Dardanelle, AR. Pallbearers were Bobby Hubbard, Sam Cody, Ray Byrd, Bob Cody, Truman Tucker and Darvin Reno.
