James F. Brewies, aged 75, well known resident of the county, died at his home in Buena Vista today. He was born in Aubrontown, Tenn., on December 17, 1860 and came to Ouachita county in 1906 and has resided here since. He was engaged in the mercantile business in Buena Vista for many years and Mr. Brewies is well known and like. The funeral will be held Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at the home of his son, Jack T. Brewies of Buena Vista and burial will be in the Buena Vista cemetery. Proctor's will be in charge. He is survived by two sons, S. F. Brewies of Buena Vista and four sisters, Mrs. Lillie Odom, Mrs. Fannie McAfferty, Mrs. Ashley Young and Mrs. Hettie High, all of Nashville, Tennessee and four grandchildren of Buena Vista.
