*Obituary
George Byron Sherman, 65, died at his home, 702 Draughn Street in Texarkana, Arkansas at 2:10 a.m. Friday.
Mr. Sherman was born July 28, 1888 in Prescott, Nevada County, Arkansas. He was an employed by the Railroad Water Service Department.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Mary Jane Sherman; two sons, James Harold Sherman of New Mexico, George Byron Sherman Jr. of Texarkana; five daughters, Mrs. Doris Whitehead of Baytown, Texas, Mrs. Alta Faye Clark of Texarkana, Mrs. Enid Woods of Big Springs, Texas, Mrs. Maxine Mitchell of Baytown, Texas, and Mrs. Bonnie Sue Branch of Houston, Texas; one brother, Edgar Sherman of Nash, Texas; two sisters, Mrs. Jessie Dorough of Texarkana, and Mrs. Mabel Richardson of Prescott, Arkansas and 8 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at the East Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Saturday with the Rev. C. C. Ussery officiating. Burial will be in East Memorial Gardens Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be the son-in-laws. Honorary pallbearers will be other friends of the Family.
