Howard Skinner, 61, of Rt. 6, El Dorado, died Wednesday morning of an apparent heart attack. He was found dead in his truck near the intersection of E. Main and N. Smith Streets where he had apparently pulled the vehicle to the curb before suffering the fatal attack. Mr. Skinner was born Feb. 25, 1907 in Texarkana and was the son of P. D. and Nora Cleve Webb Skinner. He was an employe of El Dorado Foundry and was a member of the Parkers Chapel Methodist Church where he was on the official board. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Carrie Lee Bradley Skinner of El Dorado; a son, Millard Skinner of El Dorado; two daughters, Mrs. David Galbraith and Mrs. Bill Wolfe, both El Dorado; his mother, of El Dorado; two brothers, George Skinner of Murfreesboro and Wilson Skinner of Perryton, Tex.; four sisters, Mrs. Dora Balch and Mrs. Bea White, both of Hope, Mrs. Dovie Kidd of Texarkana and Mrs. Maxine Hislip of Arlington, Tex.; and seven grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Parkers Chapel Methodist Church with the Rev. W. W. Barron and Rev. Noel Cross officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant Grove Cemetery under direction of Rumph Mortuary. (El Dorado Times - December 19, 1968)
