Mary Driver Stroud was the daughter of William Matthew Driver and Armintha Hardy Driver.
Mary married Price Stroud on February 2, 1853 in Van Buren Co., Arkansas.
The Liberty Springs Cemetery was established on the farm land where they lived. On May 14, 1927 Mary donated the portion of the land occupied by the church and cemetery. The beginning portion of the legal document started as follows: "RECORD OF DEED OF LIBERTY SPRINGS CHURCH OF CHRIST, State of Arkansas, County of Van Buren: Know all men by these presents that I, Mary Stroud of the County of Van Buren, State or Arkansas, for and in consideration of the sum of one dollar, to me in hand paid, for the receipt of which is hereby acknowledged and for the further consideration and upon the trusts hereinafter expressed, have granted, sold, and surveyed, and by these presents do grant, sell and convey unto J. O. Stroud and T. E. Mullenn and J.W. Simpson in trust, for the use and benefit of the Church of Christ, worshiping at Liberty Springs for church and burial purposes in the County of Van Buren and State of Arkansas, all that certain tract or parcel of land situated in Van Buren County and descriped as follows: ........................."
