Coy Lee Skidmore husband of Cheri (Pinegar) Skidmore. Coy Lee Skidmore son of Charlie Dale Skidmore and Rachel (Farris) Skidmore. Coy was born in Jordan, Baxter County, Arkansas and died in Lawrence, Douglas County, Kansas.


**obituary The White River Current, Calico Rock, Arkansas, February 20, 1992:

Coy Lee Skidmore of Lawrence, Kansas son of Charlie D. and Rachel Farris Skidmore died February 15, 1992 at Lawrence Memorial Hospital at the age of 47.

He was born in Jordan on March 24, 1944, where he formerly resided. He had been a Lawrence, Kansas, resident since 1973 and was a construction foreman for Clear Water Construction Company of Knob Noster, Missouri. He was a member of the Free Will Baptist Church of Jordan and served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War.

He is survived by his wife, Cheri (Pinegar) of the home in Lawrence, Kansas; two sons, Tony Skidmore of Southside and John Keyes of Topeka, Kansas; two daughters, Janette Scheideman of Fort Worth, Texas and July Maxwell of Lawrence, Kansas; one brother Robert Skidmore of Jordan; eight grandchildren and one nephew.

Services were held Wednesday, February 19 at the Freewill Baptist Church in Dolph. Burial was at the Wayland Arbor Cemetery in Dolph. A service was also held at 10 a.m. February 17 at the Clinton Parkway Assembly of Cod Church in Lawrence, Kansas. Local arrangements were by Roller Funeral Home.

Note: Coy Lee Skidmore was buried in the Dolph Baptist Cemetery which is across the road from the Wayland Arbor Cemetery.
