CALICO ROCK — Betty Gay Sanders Walker, 49, of Calico Rock died Wednesday, July 5, 2006, in Calico Rock.
Born Jan. 31, 1957, in Calico Rock, she was the daughter of Ted and Zela Dockins Sanders. She was a lifelong resident of Calico Rock. She graduated from Calico Rock High School in 1975. She was united in marriage to Lowell Dean Walker on March 28, 1975, in Dolph. She was employed by the home health department of the Community Medical Center in Calico Rock and was previously employed by the Glove Factory. She served seven years on the Calico Rock School Board and was a member of Dolph Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband of 31 years; two sons, Shawn Walker and Joshua Walker, both of Calico Rock; two daughters, Amy Walker and Sara Ott, both of Yellville; her mother of Calico Rock; two brothers, Bobby Sanders of Cave City and Freddy Sanders of Dolph; four sisters, Melba Cooper of Pineville, Peggy Price of Calico Rock, Patricia Pool of Dolph and Fern Sherrell of Oxford; two grandsons, Kaleb Walker and Karter Walker, both of Calico Rock; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Calico Rock Funeral Chapel with Ray Carneal officiating. Burial will be in Dolph Cemetery under the direction of Eddie’s Family Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
Pallbearers will be Chad Pool, Lewis Pool, Junior Pool, Brian James, Scottie Sanders and Jeremiah Sanders.
Honorary pallbearers are Tim Woods, Danny Woods, Matt Orf, Sam Linville, Mike Collins, Mark Collins and Marty Collins.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight
