James Richard “Rick” Barrett, age 53, of Conway, Arkansas, passed away Saturday, April 30, 2011. He was born February 7, 1958, in Little Rock, Arkansas, a son of the late James Wilson Barrett. He was an avid deer hunter and member of G & L Hunting Club. He was currently a supervisor at Tokusen USA for the past 20 years, prior to Tokusen he worked for Koolvent Awning Company in North Little Rock for 16 years. In addition to being a deer hunter he also loved and adored his two grandkids.
Survivors include his loving wife of 31 years, Karen Barrett of Conway; a son, Bradley Barrett of Conway; a daughter, Shannon Barrett of Conway; his mother, Bobbie York Barrett of Conway; a sister, Teresa Eads and husband Danny of Hickory Plains; a brother, Donnie Barrett of Conway; a grandson, Wilson Bryce Ritter of Conway; a granddaughter, Brooke Lynn Ritter of Conway; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and friends.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 4, 2011, at the Harris Chapel with Rev. Paul Rice officiating. Burial will be at Hamilton Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, at the funeral home.
