Dee Hamilton was born July 1, 1920 in Casa, Arkansas, to the late John Wesley and Mamie Davis Hamilton. He died July 24, 2009, at Mercy Hospital, Waldron, Arkansas, at the age of 89. He was retired from Kroger after 31 years of service, and a member of United Pentcostal Church, Fort Smith, Arkansas. He is preceded in death by one brother; two sisters.
He leaves behind his wife Pauline Hamilton of McAlester, OK formerly of Fort Smith, AR; five daughters, Elizabeth Brakebill of Hot Springs, AR, Wanda Johnson of Little Rock, AR, Jane Arnold of Longmont, CO, Dorothy Kelly of Atlanta, GA, Thelma Korgan of Tulsa, OK; one son, Dennis Hamilton of Cabot, AR; four step-children, Jackie Young of McAlester, OK, Judy Dunlap of Little, Rock, AR, Jerry Gardner of Fort Smith, AR, and Jimmy Gardner of McAlester, OK; one sister, Ima Faye Ramsey of Little Rock, AR; thirthteen grandchildren, twenty-three great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be 6-8p.m., Monday, July 27, 2009, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home, Clarksville, AR. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, July 28, 2009, at Roller-Cox Funeral Home Chapel, Clarksville, AR. Burial will be in the Hamilton Cemetery, Odna, AR. Reverend Michael Brakebill will officiate.
Pallbearers will be Donald Williams, Chris Brakebill, David Brakebill, Richard Korgan, Floyd Ray Golden, Michael Brakebill, Duane Johnson.
Honorary Pallbearers will be the grandchildren.
