Floyd Gazzway Dockins of Bexar, son of the late Joseph Clarence and Callie Angeline (Sanders) Dockins was born September 8, 1911 at Dolph. He died on February 13, 1995, at Fulton County Nursing Home in Salem at the age of 83.

Mr. Dockins was united in marriage to Elfie Mae Sanders October 18, 1935 in Dolph. They had two daughters. Mr. Dockins was a cattle farmer.

Mr. Dockins is survived by two daughters, Joann Fountain of Bexar and Patsy Sue Vanloon of Las Vegas, Nevada; one sister, Alma West of Memphis, Tennessee; one grandchild and four great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and his wife.

Services were held February 16 at Howard Chapel in Calico Rock with Brother Price Lovelace officiating.

Pallbearers were Fred Hensley, Ottie Russell, Donald Sherill, David Fountain, David Cowgill and Glen Sullins. Honorary pallbearers were Jerry Rhoades, O. D. King and Buddy Fregia.

Interment was at the Wises Chapel Crossroads Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Calico Rock.

Note: His middle name was spelled Gazzway in the obituary, but it is inscribed Gassaway on the gravestone.
