White River Current, Calico Rock, Arkansas, April 20, 1995:

Hoyd Olice Sanders of Calico Rock, son of the late Alfred and Annie T. (Foster) Sanders, was born on May 1, 1920 at Calico Rock. He died April 9, 1995 at Baxter County Regional Hospital in Mountain Home at the age of 74.

Mr. Sanders was united in marriage to Barbara Lawrence on July 3, 1937 at Melbourne. He was a minister and a member of the Wises Chapel Church.

Mr. Sanders is survived by two daughters, Connie Baker of Mountain Home and Billye Lieske of Cheyenne, Wyoming; two sons Hoyd O. Sanders, Jr. of Japan; and Loon Sanders of Lakeland, Florida; three sisters, Billie Markum of Mulberry, Florida: Geneva Doyle of Spokane, Washington; and Reba Page of Little Rock; 13 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, one brother and two great-grandchildren.

Services were April 13 at 10:30 at Howard Chapel in Calico Rock with Mike Haney and Price Lovelace officiating.

Pallbearers were Gerald Wyatt, Doyle Moser, Doyle Meyer, Jack Anderson, Mike Hicks, and Fred Barthle. Honorary pallbearers were Steve Gadberry, Roger Fountain, Joe Piotrowski and Randall Sanders.

Interment was at Crossroads Cemetery in Pineville under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Calico Rock.
