Daughter of John & Drucilla Smith.
Married James Henry Porterfield, January 7, 1886, Izard County, Arkansas.

Services Held For Mrs. Porterfield

Mrs. Lutishey Porterfield was born March 31, 1869 in Madison County, Arkansas and departed this life May 31, 1953 at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. W. Jones in Calico Rock, at the age of 89 years and two months. She had been an invalid for the past 5 years. She was married to J. H. Porterfield in 1886, who preceded her in death 3 years ago. To this union 10 children were born.

She is survived by three sons, John T. of Dolph, David L. of Wild Cherry and Elder LeRoy of Wideman: Four daughters, Mrs. Lilly Helllums, Sylamore, Mrs. Leona Brinsfield, Tupelo, Mrs. Iva Sanders, Dolph and Mrs. Ella Jones of Calico Rock: 73 grandchildren, 91 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren.

She was converted early in life and was a member of the Missionary Baptist Church.

Funeral services were conducted Sunday, June 1 at 2 p.m. at Cross Roads Church with Rev. George H. Croy of Wideman and Rev. Delmar Butler officiating. Burial made in Cross Roads Cemetery under direction of the Hall Funeral Home.
