Married Barbara G. Moody, August 4, 1971, Locust Grove, Independence County, Arkansas.

Ansel Jefferson Reves of Batesville, the son of Roe and Della Rebecca Weaver Reves was born on February 26, 1926 in Cave Creek. He died May 16, 2002 in Batesville. He was 76 years old.

During his working years, Mr Reves was a funeral Director. He was a member of the First Freewill Baptist Church in Batesville.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Reves of the home; one son, Gayland Jefferson Reves of Batesville; two daughters, Vicki Foster of Ash Flat and Judy Villeme of Newport News, Virginia; one brother, James W. Reves of Batesville; two sisters, Ruby N. Garlin of Batesville and Roetta B. Hudson of Artesia, New Mexico; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one son, Johnny Reves.

Funeral services were May 20, 2002 at the Qualls Batesville Funeral Service with Brother Glenn Murray and Brother Bobby Shepherd officiating. Honorary Pallbearers were Dr. Jim Lytle, Bro. Allen Brown, Gean Cook, Dr. Richard Van Grouw, Hanford McClure, Dr. Steve Alexander, Lowell Stroud, Glenda Hernstrom and the Searchers Sunday School Class.

Interment was at Wises Chapel Cemetery near Pineville under the direction of Howard Funeral Home of Melbourne.
