John David Ainsworth, 91, of Rt. 6, El Dorado, died at his home at 4:30 a.m. Sunday following a brief illness. He was born March 2, 1873, in Union County, the son of Alfred and Suzanne Morgan Ainsworth. He was a retired farmer and a retired Civil Service worker. He was a lifelong resident of the county and a member of the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church. Survivors include his widow, Mrs. Zarina May Nalls Ainsworth of El Dorado; five sons, E. M. Ainsworth of Houston, Tex., J. D. Ainsworth, Jr. of El Dorado, Kermit Ainsworth of Morristown, N.J. and Morgan M. Ainsworth of Bellaire, Tex.; two daughters, Mrs. Nettie Mae Johnson of Springdale, and Mrs. Annie Lou Harrison of El Dorado; 22 grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral service were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the Pleasant Grove Methodist Church with Rev. Winston Hudnall and Rev. G. E. Kerr officiating. Burial followed in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery under the direction of Rumph Mortuary. Pallbearers were James D. Cook, Gerald Cook, Leon Jones, Thomas M. Loftin, Tom Loftin and Hudie B. Roberson.
