MOUNT IDA – Joyce Easter McDaniel, of Mount Ida, our beloved mother, passed away on April 22, 2011, at the age of 83. She was born March 14, 1928, in Donaldson, Ark., to the late Gordon Easter and Emma Bookout Easter. She was a Christian and a member of Mount Ida First Baptist Church. She was a wonderful mother and once told her daughters that everyone is given a talent from God and hers was being a good mother. That was her purpose in life. MOUNT IDA – Our beloved Daddy passed away on April 17, 2011, at the age of 85. He was born Nov. 2, 1925, to the late Rube and Geneva Hern McDaniel of Nimrod, Ark. He was a Christian and a member of Mount Ida First Baptist Church.
Daddy was a Navy veteran of World War ll serving on the USS George Clymer in the South Pacific.
He was preceded in death by his parents, twin brother Louie McDaniel, brother Taye McDaniel, sister Pauline Edwards.
