Burl Nathan Long

Burl Nathan Long, age 74, of Calico Rock, Arkansas, died December 31, 1973.

He was a retired Methodist Pastor and Supt. of Schools. He had served the N. D. and S. D. Conf. the Southern Calif. and Ariz. Conf. until his retirement in 1962. After retiring he served six churches in Izard County for eight yrs. He was in the active Ministry for 50 years.

Survivors include his wife, Ethel of the home, one daughter, Burthel Hogenes of Maricopa, Arizona; two sons, Dwight and Gerald Long of Calico Rock, Ark.,; 9 grandchildren, two brothers, Calving Long of Clinton, Ark.; and Levi Long of Booneville, Ark., one sister, Zelma O'Neal of Seattle, Washington.

Pallbearers were: Harold Ray Jeffery, Billy Ray Lucy, Erman Wray, William Earl Estes, Conway Jennings, Gary McClellan, Ruben Lindsey and Larry Lindsey.

Honorary pallbearers were: Alton Rush and the Calico Rock Ministerial Alliance.

Service under the arrangements of Howard's Funeral Home of Calico Rock and Melbourne with Rev. Willis LeGrand of Dell, Arkansas.
