Father of Five now Reported Killed in Action
Pvt. Roy Killian of near Pineville, previously reported as missing in action in France is now listed as killed in action, according to a war Department message to his wife, Mrs. Viola Killian, received Saturday.
A message was received in October, stating that Pvt. Killian had been missing in action since September 26. The message received Saturday said he was killed in action November 8.
Pvt. Killian was the father of five children, all surviving. He was married to Miss Viola Shultz. Besides his immediate family, he is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. George W. Killian of Pineville and brothers and sisters.
