Irene McClellan

Irene Pearl McClellan, daughter of the late William Osby Dillard and Amy Seay Dillard, was born February 3, 1910, in Pineville. She departed this life on November 27, 2005, in Wesminster, California. She was 95-years old.

She was united in marriage to Roy Joseph McClellan on October 15, 1927, and to this union four children were born. She lived in Calico Rock until 1951, when she moved to Kansas City, Missouri, where she worked for two retail fashion clothing companies. In 1971, she moved to southern California where she worked for a woman's fashion store in Beverly Hills and had many well-known customers. She retired in 1977 and continued living in the southern California area, first in Palm Springs and most recently in Mission Viego. She was a member of the Shepherd of the Hills United Methodist Church in Mission Viejo, California.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law: Keith and Mickey McClellan of Laguna Hills, California; son-in-law: Donald Ducker of Pineville; five grandsons: Phil and Bev Ducker of Pocahontas, Mike and Debbie Ducker of Pineville, Tom and Marcia Ducker of Jonesboro, Roger and Kathy Ducker of Mountain Home and Steve and Shelly Ducker of Bentonville; one grand-daughter: Janie Jenkins of Calico Rock; eleven great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and a host of friends and relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son: Kenneth McClellan; two daughters: Kathryn Ducker and Sherry McClellan; one great-granddaughter: Sarah Kimberly Ducker and on brother: Luther Dillard.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 17 at 3:30 p.m. at the Pineville Cemetery with Pastor Paul DuBose officiating.
