Thomas Jerrell Oaks, Jr., age 44 of Bigelow, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, March 15, 2011. He was born August 25, 1966, in Morrilton, Arkansas, to Thomas Jerrell Oaks, Sr. and Betty Ann Menard. He was a Navy veteran and a construction sub-contractor.
Other than his father and mother survivors include his wife, Angela Rankin Oaks of Bigelow; mother, Sandra Leibfritz of Little Rock; two sons, Kyle Thomas Oaks of Warren, Ohio, and Nicholas Michael Oaks of Bigelow; two daughters, Jessica Marie Oaks of Warren, Ohio, and Amanda Oaks of Perryville; brothers, John Wesley Oaks and Clayton Paul Oaks both of Bigelow; sisters, LeaEllen Read of Jacksonville and Brandi K. Oaks of Little Rock; grandson, Brody Michael Oaks of Paron; step-children, Beth Angela Lynn Warren, Gregory Michael Stivers and Timothy Dane Stivers all of Perryville; and step-grandchild, Jayden Marie Warren of Perryville.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, March 19, 2011, at the Bigelow Baptist Church with Bro. Fred Oaks officiating. Burial will be at Volman Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Friday, March 17, at the funeral home.
