Services for Wilmer "Willy" Emert Spear of Mountain Home, Arkansas, will be private.

Willy died Monday, February 21, 2011 at Baxter Regional Medical Center, at the age of 89. He was born January 24, 1922 in Clarence, Iowa, the son of Robert and Minnie Long Spear. He married Ailene Strohm in 1946. After her passing in 1983, he married Mabel Finley February 10, 1985 who also preceded him in death. He was owner and operator of Spear Brothers Texaco in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. Willy lived in Mountain Home, Arkansas since 1972 moving from Cedar Rapids. He was an avid golfer who had played golf for 79 consecutive years and was member of the Twin Lakes Golf Club.

Willy is survived by 4 daughters, Sherril Thompson of Gainesville, MO, Valerie Spear of Chattahoochee, FL, Linda (Louie) Qualls and Donna (Henry) Horn both of Salesville, AR; 1 son, Joe Bill (Kaye) Finley of Bebee, AR; 1 sister, Rebecca (Dayton) Rothrock of Mcpherson, KS; 16 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 wives, and 1 brother, Virgil Spear.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
