Rev. Homer R. Williams, Sr., 76 of Tinsman was welcomed home by Jesus on March 7, 2010. He was born January 23, 1934 in Plainview, Arkansas to the late Elmer C. and Edni Cyrilda Dickinson Williams. He was a loving husband and father. He had pastored several churches in Arkansas and Texas during his 42 years of ministry. He was presently pastoring Tinsman First Baptist Church in Tinsman. He is survived by his wife Dean McWhirter Williams of Tinsman; one son and daughter-in-law, Homer R. and Patsy Williams Jr. of Tinsman; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Wesley Wooten of Hampton; one brother Harry Williams of Dumas; five grandchildren, Roger Williams, Casey Williams, Matt Williams, Sean Williams and Justin Wooten all of Hampton; and ten great-grandchildren. Visitation will be Monday 6pm until 8pm at Tinsman First Baptist Church in Tinsman. Funeral services will be 2:00 Tuesday at Tinsman First Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Owens and Rev. L.E. McCullough officiating. Burial will be at Campground Cemetery. Arrangements by Benton Funeral Home in Fordyce.
