Billy M. Price, age 80, of Russellville, died Tuesday, February 10, 2009 at Saint Mary's Regional Medical Center. He was born November 25, 1928 in Arkansas City, Arkansas, and was a former salesman for Archem, Inc. in Conway for over twenty years. He was an accomplished musician, playing his guitar and singing, and was known to most as "Brother Billy." He was a member of the Blackwell Assembly of God.
He was preceded in death by his wives, Reba Onabelle Price and Johney Hundley Price; his father, Richard Marvin Price; his mother, Mary Christine Ridge Dunahoe; and his step-father, Fred Dunahoe.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law: Danny M. and Kathleen Price of Granbury, Texas; Kendall R. and Teresa Price of Harrison; and Jeffrey W. and Cheryl Price of Cypress, Texas; three daughters and sons-in-law: Patty and Earl Socia of Jacksonville, Texas; Cindy and Rick Bradley of The Woodlands, Texas; and Sherri and Jeff Harrison of Russellville; his step-mother, Retha Price of McGehee; three brothers: James David Price and Thad Dunahoe, both of McGehee; and Joe Ed Price of Florida; four sisters: Peggy Markham of McGehee; Nina Sue Stout of Pine Bluff; Gloria McClendon of Virginia; and Judy Beason of Longview, Texas; fifteen grandchildren and their spouses: Jennefer and Bart Helsley, Blair and Jennifer Foster, Aimee and Delon Greene, Leah and Jeff Jones, Erin and Aaron Scinta, Cara and Bryan Johnson, Matthew Bradley, Bryce and Emily Harrison, Clay and Sarah Harrison, Mark Bradley, Brady and Ben Barber, Jacob Berry, Sarah Price, Lucas Price and Colin Price; seventeen great-grandchildren and a number of nephews and nieces.
The funeral service will be at 2 P.M. on Saturday, February 14, 2009 at Bells Chapel Assembly of God, officiated by the Rev. Bob Huie and the Rev. Peggy Duvall. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery near Houston, by Shinn Funeral Service.
Active and honorary pallbearers will include grandsons and grandsons-in-law, as well as Richard Lupton, Earl Socia, A. B. Hundley, Melvin Socia, J. D. Price, T. J. Hayes and Ricky Lupton.
The family will receive friends on Friday evening, from 6 to 7 P.M., at the funeral home.
