Walter, R. Mikoleit, 79, of Bigelow, passed away Sunday, September 13, 2009.
He was born November 2, 1929 in Wye Mountain to the late John Mikoleit and Laura Nelson Mikoleit.
He attended the First Baptist Church in Bigelow, was a retired Police Sergeant with the Little Rock Police Department, and was a member of East End Masonic Lodge #758 at Bigelow and a lifetime member of the Roland Masonic Lodge #508.
He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Mikoleit of Bigelow; daughters, Debbie Phillips of Bigelow, Cindy Crowder of Perryville, Day Preston of Florida; son, Matthew Mikoleit of Florida; grandchildren, Misty Langston, Joe Phillips, Harold Henderson, Amanda Denn, Alex Crowder, Timothy Crowder, Mariah Preston, Miranda Preston, Dane Springer, Nathan Springer, Trey Mikoleit, Chris Mikoleit, Brian Mikoleit; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home, Conway, (501) 327-7727 with Brother Bill Brown officiating. Burial will be in Vollman Cemetery, Bigelow with honors by the Little Rock Police Department Honor Team.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 PM, Wednesday at the funeral home.
Pallbearers will be the Little Rock Police Department.
