The body of Pfc. William F. Smith will arrive in Camden today at 2:40 p.m. Pfc. Smith died in a hospital in Germany, May 5, 1945, after being in combat over a year. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Bernice Smith and son Freddie of Louann, his mother, Mrs. J. D. Smith of Louann; three brothers, Wesley of Louann, Word of Little Rock and Leo of Shreveport, La.; one sister, Mrs. Mitchell Brown of Louann. Funeral services and burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Bethesda Cemetery, with Rev. Homer Gentry officiating. Military services will be conducted at the grave. Mathis funeral home in charge.
