Katherine Berniece Baker, age 84, of Manila, passed from this life Friday, April 29, 2011 at the Manila Nursing Center. She was the daughter of the late William P. and Mary Jane McDole Holsclaw, the widow of longtime Deputy Sheriff, Lee Baker, and a lifelong Manila resident. She was a homemaker and a member of the Bethany Baptist Church. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by her daughter, Marsha Miller, and a step-son, L. B. Baker.
Funeral service will be 10am Monday at the Howard Funeral Service Chapel in Manila with Rev. William Piercy officiating. Burial will follow in Manila Cemetery.
