D, 2nd Arkansas Cavalry Battalion, at Pine Bluff, Arkansas, March 1, 1862; appointed fifth sergeant, March 1, 1862; discharged, May 9, 1862; later enlisted in unidentified Arkansas infantry regiment; promoted first sergeant; took oath of allegiance at Pine Bluff, Arkansas, March 4, 1865; paroled at Marshall, Texas, August 3, 1865; born in Haywood county, Tennessee, March 11, 1839; died in Bradley county, Arkansas, July 25, 1913; buried in Garrison Cemetery in Bradley county; married Carolina Ford in Union county, Arkansas, January 21, 1869; occupation clerk; listed in 1911 Arkansas Confederate census at Draper, Arkansas.
