Coy Humphries Smith, age 82, of Casa, AR died Friday, March 20, 1998 at Chambers Memorial Hospital in Danville, AR. He was born October 29, 1915 in Edgewood, TX to the late Eddie Warren and Minnie Ophelia Greenhaw Smith. He was a retired World War II Air Force Senior Master Sergeant and retired from the ASCS, SCS and cattle farming. He was a member of the Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by a son, Don Reed Smith.

He is survived by his wife, Betty J. Smith; a son and daughter-in-law, Eddie Warren and Tina K. Smith of Casa, AR; a daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Elden Harper of Rover; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Bill and Alma Boggs of Dardanelle; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral service was held Monday, March 23, 1998 at the First Methodist Church in Ola with the Rev. Ed Kerr officiating. Burial was in die Casa Cemetery by Cornwell Funeral Home of Danville, AR. Pallbearers were Hollis Tippit, Joel Tippit, Robert Harper, Thomas Park, Lewis, Porter and Rod Center. Honorary Bobby Faulkner, Don Dixon, Warren Birkhead and Bill Watson.
