Gillis Marion Lee aged 69, died at his home in Cullendale at 5 o'clock Wednesday morning. He was born at Bluff City, Ark., on March 7, 1879 and was married to Miss Effie Meadow on Nov. 23, 1902. He is survived by his wife, Effie E. Lee, and two daughters, Miss Artie Lee of West Memphis, Ark., and Mrs. Jack Parrish of El Dorado; two sons, Herman Lee of Little Rock; and Shelton Lee of Camden; three grandchildren, one brother A. G. Lee of Kirva, Okla; and one sister, Mrs. Nettie Lewis of McAlister, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Bluff City Church of Christ by S. A. Watson. Burial will be in Bluff City cemetery with Proctor mortuary in charge. (Camden News - November 24, 1948)
