Robert Edward Knight, aged 87 of Bluff City died at his home at 11 a.m. Wednesday. Mr. Knight was a retired farmer, a lifelong resident of Nevada County and a member of the Methodist Church. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Letha Mooty Knight; two daughters, Mrs. C. F. Lampkin of Camden, and Mrs. Tommy Kirk of Bluff City; four sons, Tom Knight of Litchfield, Illinois, Dervis Knight of Corning, Bob Knight and Herbert Knight of Bluff City; two sisters, Mrs. Oscar Sweatman of Camden, and Mrs. Ed Beaver of Chidester; 12 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Friday at the Bluff City Baptist Church with burial in the Bluff City Cemetery. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The body will be taken to the home Thursday afternoon to lie in state until service time. (Camden News - March 14, 1968)
