Mary Rainey, age 98, a resident of Casa, died Tuesday, March 5, 2002, at the Dardanelle Nursing Center. She was born June 8, 1903, in Perry County to Levi and Eldora Avery Stover. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church at Casa. She was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar Rainey; and 2 sons, Alton and Jake Rainey.
Survivors include 2 sons, Odell and Marvin Rainey both of Casa, Arkansas; a daughter-in-law, Ester Hill Rainey; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.
Funeral will be 10 a.m. Thursday, March 7, 2002, at the First Baptist Church at Casa officiated by Reverend William West. Burial will be in the Casa Cemetery at Casa under the direction of Shinn Funeral Service of Russellville.
Pallbearers will be Bill Mahan, James Townsell, True Robinson, Drew Robinson, Phillip Ward, and Ray Tindall.
Visitation will be 7 - 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, 2002, at the funeral home.
