*Obituary
The little four year old son of Mr. and Mrs. J. M. Henry of Bluff City died at the Sanitarium here last Monday morning. The little fellow was stricken several weeks ago with scarlet fever and was brought here for an operation. He fought valiently for life but finally the little constitution gave way and death came. The parents have the sympathy of the county in their sad bereavement. The body was carried back to Bluff City for burial. (Nevada County Picayune - November 8, 1917)
