Born February 2, 1910, Newport, Jackson County, Arkansas.
Died June 28, 1977, Batesville, Independence County, Arkansas.
Son of Roy & Nettie Mae Tribble Coggins.
Married Ocel Aline Cox, October 10, 1934, White County, Arkansas.
White River Currant, Calico Rock, Arkansas:
Walter O. Coggins, age 67 of Charlotte, died June 28th in a Batesville hospital. Born at Newport, he was a retired farmer and rancher.
He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Ocel Cox Coggins of the home; one son, Jack Coggins of Truman; four daughters, Mrs. Charles Jarvis of Batesville, Mrs. John Clark of Newport, Miss Carla Coggins of Charlotte and Mrs. Paul Leamon of Memphis; one brother, Harold Coggins of England; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The funeral service was at 10:00 a.m. Thurs., June 30th in the Crouch Chapel with Rev. T. Chandler Burton officiating. Burial was in the Violet Hill Cemetery by Crouch Funeral Home.
Pallbearers were: Buster Stewart, Doyne Gaston, Cecil Mason, Griffin Arnold, Ewell Billingsley and Raymond Foreman.
