Billy Don Tanner Sr. age 69 of Casa died Sunday, June 25, 2006. He was born March 1, 1937 at Homewood to Eliash Ogburn and Maudie Mae Davidson Tanner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Eliash Ogburn Tanner and Maudie Mae Davidson Tanner Hambright; brothers, James Tanner, sisters and brother-in-law, Melba Sue Porter and William "Dub" Porter.

Survivors include his children and their spouses, Terri and Tony McAlip of Harrison, Theresa and David Coffey of Center Ridge, Billy Tanner, Jr. and Tina Tanner of Pottsville, James Doyce Tanner of Morrilton, Kenneth and Melinda Tanner of Hattieville; sister and brother-in-law, Jeannie and Carl Henderson of Danville; nine grandchildren; one great grandson.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, June 28, 2006, 10:00 a. m. at Dardanelle Chapel, Dardanelle with Marvin Wise and Benny Robinson officiating. Internment will be in Casa Cemetery. Pallbearers: Benny Robinson, Bobby Jack Robinson, Cannon Wise, Richard Lee Wise, James Roy Porter, Roger Wise. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandsons, David Tanner, Joseph Tanner, Stephen Eric Dwiggins, Christopher Tanner, Matthew Tanner and Josh Tanner. Arrangements by Cornwell Funeral Home, Dardanelle.
