Daughter of Clair and Oleva Stockwell Witham.
Married Marlin Leslie St. John, October 1, 1938.

Dorothy Elizabeth St. John, was born May 2, 1921, in Minnesota, the daughter of Clair and Oleva Stockwell Witham. She died March 31, 2009.

She lived many years in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. She and her husband retired to Horseshoe Bend, Ark., in 1977 where she was a charter member of the First Church of the Nazarene. She moved to Hermitage, Mo., in 2006.

She is survived by: two sons, Dave St. John of McKinney, Texas and Richard St. John of Garland, Texas; one daughter,  Karen Lyons of Flemington, Mo.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren; one sister, Leona Clark of Hiawatha, Iowa.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Marlin L. St.  John; two sons, Robert and Marlin James St. John; one grandson, Todd Lyons; her son-in-law, Sam Lyons; two brothers; and four sisters.

Visitation will held at the First Church of the Nazarene in Horseshoe Bend, Ark., April 18 at 3 p.m., with memorial services following at 4 p.m. Arrangements are under the direction of Hathaway-Peterman Funeral Home of Wheatland, Mo.
