Kermit Hopper, age 79, of Rison, died Saturday, March 5, 2005, in the Jefferson Regional Medical Center at Pine Bluff.
Born April 5, 1925 at Tinsman, he was a son of the late Asa and Mary King Hopper.
He was a retired painting contractor and a member of Trinity Faith Assembly of God Church.
Hopper was preceded in death by two wives, Agnes Hopper and Garland Dean Hopper; two brothers, Asa Hopper, Jr. and Derward Hopper; and one sister, Verda Lee Wilson.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Donnie and Sharon Roberts of Rison; one brother, Curtis Hopper of Rison; one sister, Dorothy Raybon of Thornton; four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held at 4:00 p.m., Monday, March 7, at Trinity Faith Assembly of God Church in Rison with Rev. Clay Stubbs and Bro. Charles McBryde officiating. Burial was in Greenwood Cemetery by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.

Agnes Roberts Hopper, 77, of Rison, died May 8, 1998, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
She was born April 25, l92l, at Calmer (Cleveland County), a daughter of the late John Roberts and Ida Akins Roberts.
She was a homemaker and member of Trinity Faith Assembly of God Church in Rison.
Survivors include her husband, Kermit Hopper of Rison; a son, Donnie Roberts of Rison; a brother, Hubert Roberts of Rison; two sisters, Eva Lee Sipes and Rosie Lybrand, both of Rison; four grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Monday at Trinity Faith Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Leonard Hodges and the Rev. Harold Richardson officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery by Buie Funeral Home of Rison.
