Robert (Bob) H. Klamm Sr., 69, of Perry, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, December 1, 2009, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was born April 25, 1940, in Racine, Wisconsin. He was the son of the late Jacob Henry Klamm and Laura Christine Klamm.
He leaves behind a loving wife of 51 years Norma; four children, Lisa McGhee husband Eddy of Jerusalem, Robert Klamm Jr. wife Polly of Perry, Laura Hillis husband David of Conway, and Tina West husband Danny of Adona; brother, James Allen Klamm of Texas; eight grandchildren, Jessica McGhee of Jerusalem, Gretchen Dehart of Alma, Patrick Klamm of Perry, Lillie Upton of Bigelow, Matt Hillis of Conway, Josh Hillis of Conway, Corey West of Adona, and Rachel West of Adona.
He was well known for his generosity. He would give you the shirt off his back. He was a devoted husband and a great daddy. He taught his children values of hard work, honesty, integrity, generosity, loyalty, patience and kindness all by his example.
He loved fishing, shopping and being with his family. He will be missed greatly but leaves his family with a lifetime of love and special memories. He (RoHo) worked at Crompton Mills for 17 years and then at Virco for 16 years until he retired.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, December 4, 2009, at the Harris Chapel with Rev. Jerry Dycus and Rev. Tim Copeland officiating. Burial will be at Aunt Dilley Cemetery by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 3, at the funeral home. Pallbearers are Corey West, Timmy Reed, Daniel Michaels, Darrell Henderson, Donald Brunson, Victor Brunson, and Patrick Klamm.
