Son of Arthur & Gertrude "Gertie" Barnes Wolford.
Married Sarah Caple Herron, November 27, 1927, Sharp County, Arkansas.
Obituary for Eldon Francis Wolford:
Elden Francis Wolford of Franklin, son of William Arthur and Gertrude Barnes Wolford was born in Cushman in 1907. He died Thursday, March 16 at North Arkansas Life Care Center in Horseshoe Bend at the age of 88.
Mr. Wolford was a retired landscaper and member of the Franklin Church of Christ.
Mr. Wolford is survived by one son, Carol Wolford and one daughter, Dorothy Phillips both of Franklin; three brothers, Jim Wolford and Ray Wolford both of Bakersfield, California and Jerry Lee Wolford of Shawnee, Oklahoma; one sister, Shirley Matthews of McAlister, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Kevin Wolford, Scott Wolford, Prisilla Fountain and Tim Phillips and four great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Wolford and a son Francis Harold Wolford.
Services were March 19 at the Franklin Church of Christ officiated by David Dawson.
Pallbearers were Scott Wolford, Kevin Wolford, Tim Phillips, Noel Fountain, Jason Fountain and Charles Fountain.
Interment was at the Violet Hill Cemetery in Violet Hill under the direction of Crouch Funeral Home in Melbourne.
(Note: The birth date inscribed on the gravestone does not agree with the birth date given in the obituary.)
