November 11, 1897 - April 23, 1964
Louis Franklin Cottingham, 66, died in a local hospital Thursday night after being transferred here from a Camden nursing home, where he had resided for several years. A native of Nevada County, he was born near Prescott Nov. 11, 1897, the son of W. R. and Emma Whitten Cottingham and was a longtime resident of the Bluff City area. He also lived in El Dorado for a number of years. He was a member of the Methodist Church. Survivors include a nephew, Fred J. White, two nieces, Mrs. Major Nodini and Mrs. Charles Huskey, all of El Dorado, and eight great nieces and nephews. Other local survivors include an uncle, Ellis A Whitten. Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Bluff City Cemetery under the direction of Young's. (The El Dorado Times - April 24, 1964)
