Daughter of William & Hanna Casey Herron.
Married Owen Thomas, February 10, 1924, Sharp County, Arkansas.
White River Currant, Calico Rock, Arkansas:
Martha Elizabeth Thomas of Myron, daughter of the late William and Hanna Casey Herron, was born January 11, 1901 in Myron. She died November 9, 1998. She was 97.
Mrs. Thomas was united in marriage to Owen Thomas in 1923 in Myron. She was a member of Franklin Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sons, Lotus Thomas of Myron, Clyde Thomas of Monitor, Washington and Oscar Thomas of Wenatchee, Washington; One sister, Emmie Ramsey of Melbourne; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sons, three sisters and five brothers.
Services were held November 12, 1998 at Franklin Church of Christ with Brother Ralph Wallis officiating.
Pallbearers were Charles Thomas, Johnny Shelton, Kennard Billingsley, Willie Moser, Jerry Floyd and Hayden Phillips.
Interment was at Violet Hill Cemetery under the direction of Howard Funeral Home in Melbourne.
